Collaboration with JICA
Nagasaki University collaborates with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which implements the Japanese government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) for the development of developing countries.
The university has been developing strong ties with JICA for more than 50 years, ever since the Institute of Tropical Medicine and the School of Medicine began cooperating with medical projects in Kenya in 1966.
The university is promoting collaboration with JICA based on a comprehensive partnership agreement the two parties concluded in 2019.
