Tanabe Shuji is Professor of the Graduate School of Engineering. His research mainly focuses on catalysts, a miracle material that speeds up chemical reaction. He believes that university education, research, and internationalization can move forward in the right direction through discussion with peers, since the right advice and guidance are the key for improvement. He also stresses that including students and researchers from various countries will help us find more global solutions, based on his motto that there are no borders in the peer network.
