Masuda Ken is a social anthropologist, serving as Associate Professor of the School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health. He is an on-site thinker who unravels the global world through investigation of contemporary society and history of Africa, based on his in-depth fieldwork in the Ethiopian outlying areas since 1993.
