Major Activities

This office was established inside Sieboldhuis to promote academic and educational exchange between Leiden University and Nagasaki University based on the FY2008 Project for Nagasaki Dutch Studies and the Cultivation of International Human Resources from Modern Dejima, which was selected for the Support Program for Contemporary Educational Needs in FY2006.
The office is used by students and faculty members of Nagasaki University and students and teachers of high schools in Nagasaki Prefecture for study abroad, research, training, and other activities. It is also used as a preliminary training facility for short-term international students from Leiden University  studying at Nagasaki University, with the aim of creating a hub for exchange with European universities.
