Discussion with the Scottish Government about the collaboration on the Island SDGs Project

We talked with Francesco Bertoldi, the Arctic Policy Officer of the Scottish government, in an attempt to find a solution to the problems remote islands and remote areas are facing based on the Japanese remote islands and remote areas that are a part of the island SDGs project. Scotland is near the Arctic and has many issues with its remote islands and remote areas in the Arctic region. Moreover, they are easily affected by climate change. Therefore, they are interested in clean-energy-technology to solve these issues. We will learn about the issues, which municipalities in remote islands/areas are facing specifically and exchange information with Arctic Connections, which is conducted by the Scottish Government. We have received a comment from Francesco that he would like to learn about the experiences of Japan.
