Nagasaki University Students Participated in the China Project

Nagasaki University received an invitation from the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to participate in the China Project, and sent 21 students from our university to Shanghai from September 23rd to the 27th.
Before the trip, a send-off party was held at the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Nagasaki, and the students’ became even more excited to go. In Shanghai, the students got to know their counterparts from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a cooperating organization of the China Project. They also visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the New Rural Construction in the Modern Agricultural Park of Qingpu District, the Soong Qingling Memorial Residence, the World Expo Museum, the Shanghai Pudong Urban Planning and Public Art Center, the Li Zhengdao Research Institute in Zhangjiang, and other places, where they learned about Shanghai’s urban planning, economy, culture, history of friendly exchanges, and the development of Chinese science and technology.
Through visits and interactions with the people of Shanghai, the students were able to gain a
better understanding of China, and students wished for the further development of friendly relations between China and Japan. We hope that through participation in this project, the students will become bridges that connect China and Japan.
