The Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Nagasaki visited Nagasaki University

  On October 8th, Zhang Daxing, the Chinese Consul General in Nagasaki, paid a courtesy visit to Nagasaki University.
  The meeting was attended by President Nagayasu Takeshi, Trustee Ito Masako (in charge of student and international affairs), Vice President Jiang Yujing (in charge of international exchange), Dean of the School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences Morikawa Yuji, Professor Wang Wei, Associate Professor Minami Makoto, and Associate Professor Kiyota Tomoko.
  After President Nagayasu expressed his gratitude for the support provided to Nagasaki University students during their trip to Shanghai during the China Project, which was held from September 23rd to the 27th, a discussion took place regarding the current state of exchange between our university and China, as well as future exchange.
  Consul General Zhang Daxing also attended the debriefing session for the China Project, where he listened to the presentations given by the students who visited Shanghai. At the end of the session, Consul General Zhang Daxing looked back on the history of exchange between China and Nagasaki and emphasized the importance of human connections, and expressed his hopes and some words of encouragement for the students who will play important roles in the future relationship between China and Japan.
