Participated in the 4th Japan-India Universities Forum in Hyderabad

On November 15, 2025, the delegation from Nagasaki University participated in the 4th Japan-India Universities Forum held at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH).

The delegation was led by Trustee Atsuko Yasutake (Director, Office for Global Relations), together with Professor Yuichiro Shibata, Dean of the School of Information and Data Sciences.

This year’s Forum marked the largest ever, with 37 Japanese universities and research institutions, 12 companies and government agencies, and 36 Indian universities in attendance.

During the high-level roundtable, our delegates engaged in discussions with senior leaders from prominent Indian institutions.

The delegation also held a bilateral meeting with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) to review ongoing collaborations and confirm continued partnership.

On November 16 , we took part in IITH Japan Academic Day, where around 20 Japanese universities hosted information booths. Approximately 200 students visited our booth, reflecting the strong motivation of Indian students and their growing interest in studying and conducting research in Japan.

The dynamic growth of Hyderabad, with its rapidly expanding skyline, and the well-developed academic environment at IITH were highly inspiring.
