Major Activities
The Nagasaki University Central and South America Education and Research Station was established alongside the Brazil Research Station of the National Research Center for the Control and Prevention of Infectious Diseases (CCPID), which was launched in 2023 under the AMED Research Program on Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases.
Located within the Keizo Asami Immunopathology Laboratory (iLIKA) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in Brazil, the Station provides expertise in infectious disease control and public health, primarily in Brazil, while also serving as a field site for graduate education.
