Major Activities
Nagasaki University and Shanghai Ocean University cooperate with each other especially in the fields of oceanography and fisheries, and in 2007, they concluded an academic exchange agreement to advance cooperation in academics and education.
Based on this agreement, in 2009, the Liaison Office of Nagasaki University and Shanghai Ocean University was established at Shanghai Ocean University and the Shanghai Ocean University-Nagasaki University Exchange Promotion Office was established at Nagasaki University to further promote research cooperation and student exchange.
In addition to promoting research and student exchange related to fisheries and oceanography, these offices serve as bases for joint research and student exchange in engineering, economics, and language with the aim of strengthening cooperation.
