The NUGAN Thailand Chapter was formed in 2022 after Dr. Kittisak Thawnashom (Assistant Professor, Naresuan University, Thailand), the Chapter founder, reached out to Nagasaki University alumni living in Thailand and neighboring countries.
In December 2022, a reception was held in Bangkok to commemorate the establishment of the chapter, and around 60 people, including alumni, university staff from colleges in Thailand, and Nagasaki University staff, attended to get to become better acquainted with each other.
Since this event, there have been a number of events held, including online exchanges to coincide with Nagasaki University’s homecoming day and seminars for prospective students at the local university, organized by alumni.
