Orientation Session held for FY2026 Alumni Network International Collaborative Research Support Program

On Tuesday, April 28, “FY2026 Alumni Network International Collaborative Research Support Program” orientation session was held at CROSS Nagasaki.

In the FY2026 call for proposals, 10 international collaborative research projects were selected, involving partnerships with a diverse range of regions including Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.

The session was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person participation with online attendance. Following an overview of NUGAN (Nagasaki University Global Alumni Network) and an explanation of the program framework, reports on last year’s achievements were presented. After that, participants engaged in an exchange of views and a networking session. Lively discussions took place with the aim of fostering future collaborative research and strengthening human networks across disciplines and national and regional boundaries.

Through this program, further strengthening of collaboration between Nagasaki University and its alumni around the world is anticipated, contributing to the formation of international research networks, promotion of international collaborative research and addressing global social challenges.
