Nagasaki University and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hold Third Regular Meeting

Four representatives from the JICA Kyushu Center (Kitakyushu City) and Director, Deputy Director and Prof. Tsunenori Aoki of the Office for Global Relations, Nagasaki University joined the meeting and exchanged a wide range of opinions.

Staff of the JICA Kyushu outlined its wide range of activities including projects related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) mainly in the field of environment and healthcare, multicultural coexistence measures in Japan and a scheme to support companies that intend to expand overseas business. Faculty members of the Office for Global Relations showed the big picture of the university-wide initiative of Planetary Health which is closely linked to the idea of the SDGs, and reported that two JICA trainees were accepted in the Nagasaki University Interfaculty Initiative in Planetary Health starting in next October.
