The 4th Regular Meeting of Nagasaki University (NU) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was held at NU on Friday, January 26, 2024. This meeting is based on the Comprehensive Collaborative Agreement signed between NU and JICA in December 2019, and the meeting was also held to mark the inauguration of President Nagayasu of NU.
The meeting was attended by JICA Kyushu Director General Yoshinari and others from JICA Kyushu, and by President Nagayasu, Trustee Ito (Student Affairs and International Affairs), and Professor from NU. The JICA side expressed their appreciation for the cooperation in development projects in Africa and other regions over the past nearly 60 years and for NU’s top performance in Japan in receiving JICA-funded foreign students.
They also confirmed their collaboration for “the 8th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2024)”, an international conference to be held in Nagasaki in November 2024, co-hosted by JICA and NU.
