【NUGAN】 Announcement : Floating Lantern Ceremony 2026 on August 9 (Sun)

Join us for a Floating Lantern Ceremony to express our hopes for peace in Nagasaki.

In this event, participants will write personal messages of peace on handmade lanterns and send them off on the river near Hypocenter Park. This is a valuable opportunity to share Nagasaki’s message of peace with the world while fostering friendship and mutual understanding across cultures and nationalities.

【Important Notes】
・The event will be cancelled in the event of rain. If the event is cancelled, registered participants will be notified by email on the morning of the event.
・On August 9, Nagasaki Peace Day, admission to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum is free for all visitors. If you have time before the event, we encourage you to visit the museum.
・Participants are welcome to join or leave the event at any point during the program.
